Awaiting the 2012 Christmas Special?

doctor-who-christmas-special-2012-matt-smith-jenna-louise-coleman-snowmen-bbc-americaWell it’s only 14 days until Christmas, approximately. This means Whovians everywhere are also anticipating the 2012 DOCTOR WHO Christmas special “The Snowmen” and the (proper) arrival of the new companion Jenna-Louise Coleman, or “Clara”. I gather you are such a person, since you are here reading this, so I suppose I should include not only a poster to whet your appetite, but also a trailer! You will find it below.

Might I just say briefly before you go, I love the Christmas specials! Don’t you? In each one we see the Christ-type so clearly, as the Doctor and the Saviour Christ, the true King of Christmas, come (almost) face to face. Each time they meet we encounter The Doctor in his finest form, standing as the Champion for humanity, the rescuer, the saviour of mankind. Without the real Saviour, coming to earth, God in the flesh, where would these Christmas specials find their inspiration?

John 1:14 “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”
Hebrews 12:1-2 “. . . let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.”

Hope you enjoy the official trailer, which I have found on a site that also contains a “prequel” to the Christmas episode. I’m sure you don’t want to miss any of the story! (Click the image or link below) doctor 2012

About sevennotesofgrace

The author musing here about music, grace and God goes by the name of Ros. I have a husband (married 24 yrs) and three daughters. I've been many things over the years, particularly a mother, high school teacher, church music director and women's ministry co-ordinator. Now I'm back to teaching high school English full-time. All these experiences have come to me from God's gracious hand, and each day I try to remember that! I live in a home among many gum trees in Brisbane Australia. Our extended family includes a white Maremma dog named Mia, two kittens, Simon and Catniss, and one chickens. Why “seven notes of grace”? The grace refers to God’s grace, which He offers to unworthy people like myself. We can freely receive His forgiveness and love. Music is another gracious gift to us: our ability to create, play, sing, communicate with and enjoy it. So the seven refers to the seven notes of the musical scale (yes there are seven, count them A to G) and the notes refers to writing (text and music) and musical notes. I was very relieved when this original blog title finally came to me, which encapsulates so many different aspects of who I am, a musical sinner saved by grace! http://sevennotesofgrace.com/
