About

Doctor VincentThis blog is dedicated to the amazing way that stories told in popular culture reveal so much about the reality of our existence – particularly in relation to our Creator.  Whether they are created with this in mind or not, just about every narrative points to the goodness of God. When good and evil come head to head, when forces are at war between and within human beings, there is a larger story which shines through. This is a story of redemption, of a saviour who will rescue. As the title suggests, this blog will explore the way the truths of our creator God show through in the ongoing and brilliant story of the Time Lord in the blue box, the Doctor and the TARDIS (Doctor Who).
He’s not just a madman in a box who entertains children and adults alike. He is a clear picture of the Man who is outside time, who holds the turn of the universe in his hand, and must act on behalf of these strange little humans and save them. He can’t help himself!
What a clear picture of Christ!
We intend to explore this link, episode by episode, of the new Doctor Who (21st century BBC production). It may take some time!
Enjoy!

The authors of this site are related by blood and by a common interest in great stories which stretch your brain and reveal Christ to the world.

  2. there is some strange timey-whimey stuff going on here 🙂 hehe

  3. you may like “To Be Told” by Dan Allender i think. good stuff that ties in with this.

  4. Thank you! I’ve often commented on this dynamic. You expressed it more clearly than I ever have. . . Movies like The Wizard of Oz and songs like The Edge of Glory by Madonna. . . not intended for sacred use, but with just a hint of discernment. . . The sacred bursts open the secular. . .breaking it up into sharp pieces of stained glass. . .at The Hands of The “Artistician” become a window into His Kingdom. twe

  5. Wanted to let you know that I have finally posted an about for my Tumblr blog: The Gospel According to Doctor Who – where CS Lewis meets Richard Dawkins.
